Message In the beginning, it'll suck because you think you have a little get-up-and-go but you don't. At least not until you get into the heavier mods. For example, before I had my tranny worked on by Level 10, I was beating M3s, SC400s, and a few slower vettes. I was also running sport 500s and most of my mods would have been the equivelent of stage 6 or 7, but the only thing I had on the tranny was the HKS ALC.

I did notice a slightly crisper shift, but nothing really grabbed from off the line. That wasn't until I upgraded to the billet torque converter from Level 10. Once they upgraded it, I swear that my 0 to 60mph was at least 3 seconds. I kid you not. Most motorcycles off the line were shocked that I was right behind them, or exceeded them. Of course my idle was a hell of a lot higher, and I burned a tank of gas like no ones business, but I was satisfied. (fyi - My boost was only set at 15)

But getting down to the seriousness of it, MAKE SURE YOUR AUTOMATIC TRANNY IS KEPT COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone here knows my bad experience with a known Z products manufacture that was "illen" to get away with not installing the proper cooling system for a modified transmission. Bottom line was that I fried it (no fault of mine), but subsequently it was fixed (courtesy of them). I currently have the Greddy auto tranny cooler, which in my opinion helps a little, but not as much as it's hyped up to be. I may wind up doing a custom job later on.

So I guess what I'm saying is that if you want one of the top 5 must-have upgrades for your automatic (to achieve high horsepower), get the Level 10 upgrade. Of course along with that, I must also stress the urgency of getting some good turbos. With the tranny upgrade, you won't have to worry about the lag factor in the low rpms, but the higher rpms can be a concern around 6000 if you don't have the right ones.

Good luck.
